Help out and give your input
We are working with grassroots partners across the country to build an online community for criminal justice reform, networking, and artistic celebration, and we need your help.
This survey is completely anonymous and takes less than five minutes. When you click the final "submit" button at the end, you are helping us better understand how technology and media are being used to work for reform of our criminal justice system.

We are Thousand Kites, a national dialogue project addressing the U.S. criminal justice system. We are artists located in the central Appalachian coalfields who began to use radio, film, and theater to address human rights abuses in our region’s prisons and with support from folks across the country took the project to a national level.
Our work includes a weekly radio program produced by prisoner family members, an interactive story-sharing website, a national radio broadcast “Calls from Home” heard in prisons across the country, the award winning documentary film “Up the Ridge,” and a play you can download from our website and use in your own community.
We are part of the internationally acclaimed arts organization Appalshop, located in Whitesburg, KY
